RCMP Fingerprinting

Digital Fingerprinting

Digital fingerprinting is a process to capture an applicant’s fingerprints via Electronic Fingerprints Capture device approved by RCMP. The scanned fingerprints, along with the application details are than transmitted via a secure link, directly to the RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Information System.

CCRTIS compares the fingerprints and Individual’s personal details against the RCMP’s criminal record database. If no record is present, the RCMP will issue a certificate indicating a clear record. If the applicant had a criminal record, it will be indicated in the certificate issued by RCMP
