US Entry Waiver (I-192) Application Services (e-safe)

What is e-safe?

It’s a website where I-192 application are completed and support documents uploaded for the review and approval of your I-194 (US Entry Waiver) approval. The application fee is also paid on this website. Applicant still needs to visit a designated e-SAFE border crossing where the biometrics are taken and uploaded document verified to the original documents. The applicant must carry with them, original copies of all the documents, that were uploaded to the site. Applicant is required to have a prior appointment before visiting the border crossing. This is a recent change that saves time at the border as well as overall processing time of the waiver application.

Who will require USA Entry Waiver (I-194)?

If you have a criminal record or have violated US laws (Usually Criminal or Immigration), you will not be allowed to enter the US without having a US waiver. A US waiver (I-194) is essentially an official permission, obtained in advance to enter the US granted from American Homeland Security. For violations that are related to immigration an I-212 may also need to be applied at the same time.

You must make an appointment before visiting the border. You are required to take all originals of the documents submitted on line and your biometrics are taken during your visit

The USA Entry Waiver Application (I-192) Process

Your waiver application will need to be submitted to the US Department of Homeland Security online on its e-safe website. Your fee is also paid on the same website. A credit card is usually required.

Thereafter you are required to visit a recognized e-safe port of entry location for your biometrics and review the originals of the uploaded documents. Most people from GTA area prefer to visit one of the three border crossings in Buffalo area. You are required to make an appointment before visiting the US Border Services site.

It is the decision of the American government if the US waiver (I-194) is granted. Once it is, you will then have permission to travel to the USA

Documents required for completing your I-192 application

An RCMP criminal record verification is a mandatory requirement for this application. You must either provide this to us on your first communication or your visit to submit fingerprints to RCMP to obtain this report.

At this time, we will have a short meeting and advise you on the documents that you will need to provide. Most of these documents are easily available at home or the workplace.

Any court documents can either be obtained by us for a fee or by you and save costs

Our Fees are as follows

  1. USA Entry Waiver Application Preparation Fee $650.00 plus HST (minimum) plus Fingerprinting for RCMP criminal record check $85+HST(includes $25 federal fee)
  2. Please note that if you already received Record Suspension (Pardon), a request to RCMP for the
    release of the Suspended (Pardoned) record will also need to be made. This costs $60 plus HST

Our Fees don’t include:

  1. Any courier costs for out-of-town applicants (Since we operate from a secure website, our expectations are that the clients will download forms, sign and return, so technically no courier costs are required from our end if internet is used)
  2. The USA Entry Waiver application fee of US $585.00
  3. You will arrange to obtain court documents at your own cost and time
